Zaatar is at the heart of a palestinian table.

Hayati means "my life" in arabic

As a Palestinian, sharing food is as easy as breathing. I want to share the food and culture that raised me with the world.

FROM MY LIFE, TO YOURS

I'm Yasmine. I'm Palestinian, born and raised in Texas.

After years building CPG brands, I noticed a gap: a modern, beautiful representation of Arabic food in America. It's still labeled as “Mediterranean” food—like calling Japanese food Asian food. Not wrong, but let’s be more right.

THE FOOD OF MY LIFE

My favorite meal in the world is a huge Palestinian breakfast with my family at home.

Featuring eggs, labneh, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, tea, and of course—zaatar manakeesh.

ZA'ATAR IS A CLASSIC ARABIC SPICE BLEND

It remains an unwritten story—a staple that has yet to truly make its mark in America.

It's the sign of a Palestinian home. For most of us, it's an essential.

I feel determined to help write its story.

A FAMILY AFFAIR

My great-grandparents, Mama Amneh and Baba Yousef, were born and raised in Yafa, Palestine.

Today, I source Hayati’s Za’atar from the exact same spice shop they used back home—preserving an essential part of their life across generations.

Let’s marvel in the beauty of this culture while we enjoy a meal together.
